Marcus rodeo moves into third place overall

Marcus’ rodeo team seems to like competing in Weatherford as it finished second at the
Peaster Rodeo event of the North Texas High School Rodeo Association held in Weatherford last weekend.
Marcus scored 43 points just four points behind champion Decatur. Marcus also moved into third place in the overall standings with 236 points. Decatur leads with 400.5 points and Pilot Point is second with 299 points.
Shady Foreman and Samantha Trent led the way for Marcus with second place finishes.
Foreman finished second in goat tying in a time of 10.299, Trent placed seventh in the event with a time of 11.787.
Trent was second in breakaway roping with a time of 4.219 seconds. Foreman finished sixth in the steer undecorating competition in a time of 2.229.
Katelyn Spradley placed fourth in steer undecorating in a time of 1.775.
In the barrels competition, Brandie Alexender finished fifth after posting a time of 18.078 and Nicole Lewis was eighth with a time of 18.216.
Marcus began competition at the Crowley. Rodeo last night at the North Texas High School Rodeo Association Arena in Saginaw. The rodeo continues at 7 p.m. today and concludes at 2 p.m. Sunday.
