Correction
The McKinney ISD has already applied for various city permits related to the construction of Cockrill Middle School on Hardin Road. The district provided incorrect information on the applications' status to the McKinney Courier-Gazette for its story in Thursday's edition.
MISD spokesperson Cody Cunningham said a few details that needed to be finalized before the city would provide the permits, but that they are expected to be granted soon.
