Texas Longhorns ‘93 headed to the Beach
The Texas Longhorns ’93, which includes four McKinney players, advanced to the 2008 National Cup VII, which begins on Tuesday in Virginia Beach, Va.
Several local soccer standouts will be attempting to capture a national championship in the next couple of weeks after the Texas Longhorns ’93 advanced to the 2008 National Cup VII in Virginia Beach, VA., with a 3-1 regional championship victory against FC Dallas last month at Craig Ranch.
Among the notable soccer stars playing on the club are Callie and Cadie Annett from McKinney Boyd, Taylor Weidow from McKinney High and Kerry Edwards from McKinney North.
The National Cup will begin July 29th at the prestigious Hampton Roads Soccer Complex and the Princess Anne Athletic Complex in Virginia Beach.
