Evans to host seniors’ After Hours Café

Following two successful summers, Evans Senior Program will host its third After Hours Café of the season on Aug. 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Evans Recreation Center, 1116 Hillcrest.
Tickets for dinner and entertainment for the evening are $6 per person.
Pam Folsom, Senior Center Supervisor at Evans Senior Center said, “After Hours Café has seen much growth since the program began two summers ago.”
The three course menu includes Mexican Casserole, salad, chips, salsa, and apple cinnamon crisp for dessert.
Entertainment for August will be Blue Diamond Trio, a local musical group featuring tunes from the 1920s through the 1940s.
“New additions we made this season were adding flowers, table cloths, and smaller tables to create a more café-like atmosphere,” Folsom said. “We are looking forward to the last session of the summer because we expect more participation in response to Blue Diamond Trio, making this the most successful After Hours Café we’ve had yet.”
