Local Mothers of Multiples Club semi-annual sale benefits local charity

The North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club holds a semi-annual sale called Twice As Nice, with proceeds benefiting both their members and a local Dallas County charity, Captain Hope’s Kids.
The Twice As Nice sale takes place in both spring and fall at the Richardson Civic Center in Richardson is hosted by the North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club, but club membership is not required to shop, only to consign. Open from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. On Oct. 4, the general public is offered more than 20,000 gently used baby, kid and teen items including clothes, toys, shoes, books, bikes, DVDs and more.
Proceeds from this event benefit not only the members of this twins club, but also the hundreds of homeless families and children touched by Captain Hope’s Kids in Dallas County.
“The North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club Sale [Twice As Nice] benefits our organization tremendously,” said. Jeanne Reyer, Executive Director
of Captain Hope’s Kids. “We serve forty six agencies in Dallas County and we would be hard put without their yearly donations.”
Consigners with the sale have the option to retain their merchandise that didn’t sell, or donate it to this local organization serving homeless babies, kids and teens in Dallas County. Each sale these families of multiples donate several thousand items, helping this organization serve families in need.
“This is a great opportunity for our members to give back to our community donating clothes, toys, shoes, backpacks and other items of great need” said Ann Renneker, Chair Mom of Twice As Nice.
Because this is a not for profit, local multiples club these moms of multiples and more are allowed to keep a portion of what they sell. It is their generosity that funds all community outreach programs sponsored by their organization throughout the year, and this sale offers them the opportunity to earn a little extra in order to give a little bit more.
“The Twice As Nice Sale is a win-win situation not only for our members who sell their items, but for the many families in the Dallas area who are touched by the donations of Captain Hope’s Kids,” said Jessica Vasquez, President of the North Dallas Mothers of Twins Club. “It is strictly our member’s generosity that funds our community outreach programs throughout the year, including our donations from the semi-annual sales, as well as the families we adopt over the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons each year.”
To shop The Twice As Nice sale benefiting the family and other families in Dallas County, people may want to bring a suit case and arrive at the Richardson Civic Center on Saturday, Oct. 4, early to get a good spot in line. Doors open to the general public at 8:30 am, the sale ends at 12:30 pm and admission is one dollar.
