Participants will have to do more than survive in a new reality show that promises your big brother won't call you a big loser if you don't win some kind of amazing race. The new show premise is all about literature and McKinney publisher Brian W. Smith is putting up the big prize - a book deal.

According to the press release, Smith's company Hollygrove Publishing, based in McKinney, is teaming up with producers in a new reality show aimed at testing contestants' ability to "make it" in the industry.

The show, to be aired in select cities and on YouTube, will test the drive and ambition of 14 contestants in 12 weeks of challenges.

"Our goal of the show is to offer an opportunity for a future writer/author looking for their big break," said Zane Bell, one of the show's creators and producers. He said the opportunity will help prepare them for the competitive literary world. The winner will receive the book deal from Smith's company as well as a marketing plan written by New York Times Bestselling author J. L. King.

According to Bell, contestants have been chosen from different statesacross America including Illinois, Texas, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana. He said although they don't have an official date yet, they hope the show will premier in the Summer of 2009. For further interest, visit www.thewritestufftv.com

" My name is Jiwe, author of War of the Bloods in my veins, and I am one of the guest judges when the show hits ATL. I think Cyrus and Zane are giving 14 hopeful people the chance of a life time. I predict the show will spark interest from some major networks for a second season with some studio backing. Just watch and see.
BIg ups to Cyrus and Zane for creating opportunity for those who may have never gotten a chance.
peace and safety...
