Body recovered on Lake Ray Hubbard

Published: Tuesday, December 30, 2008 9:44 AM CST
The body of a missing boater has been found at Lake Ray Hubbard.

Brandon Fugate had been missing for a month after the boat three men were using took on water during heavy winds on Nov. 29.

The other two men were pulled out of the water by another boater that day.

Back then, rescue workers from several agencies searched all weekend into the night. The search has been going on since that windy weekend in late November.

Fugate's body was found at 3:50 pm Dec 28 by Dennis Watters of Team Watters, a side scan operator out of Illinois. Watters was brought in by the Texas Eqqua Search group from the Houston area. A local volunteer diver was able to make the recovery then, said Garry Collins of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
