McKinney softball report

McKinney North beat Frisco Wakeland, 9-5, on Friday behind pitcher Lindsay Collings.
Megan Dunn and Taylor Burnside doubled for McKinney North, which had 13 hits.
North's defense didn't make an error.
On Tuesday, North won at home over Frisco, 4-2. Dunn pitched for the win. Sarah Becker doubled.
MCKINNEY WINS
McKinney pitcher Jennifer Gilbert won at home over Frisco Liberty, 14-0. Ashley Thomas, Jennifer Guzman, Gina Guajardo and Meredith Baker hit home runs for McKinney's 15-hit attack.
Guajardo also doubled twice. Gilbert and Baker each doubled.
On Tuesday, Gilbert two-hit Sherman for a 9-0 iwn. Guajardo and Gilbert doubled for McKinney.
In other 9-4A action: On Friday, Sherman won at Denison, 5-0. Frisco Centennial edged Frisco, 1-0.
On Tuesday, Centennial beat Denison, 8-0. Wakeland downed Liberty, 10-3.

Plano East beat McKinney Boyd, 2-0, in a District 8-5A pitching duel on Friday in McKinney. Elizabeth Lindsey and Boyd held Plano East to two hits. Taylor Jones held Boyd to one hit.
In other action, Plano won at home over Allen, 8-1, on Friday. Wylie won a home against Plano West, 1-0.
On Monday, Plano West won at Boyd, 4-0. Lindsey pitched for Boyd. Also, Plano beat Wylie, 4-1

Prosper beat Gainesville, 11-0, on Monday behind pitcher Jourdan Esquenazi's one-hitter. Lissa Pappas homered for Prosper. Kayla Smotherman doubled and tripled.
Prosper beat Bishop Lynch, 7-2, on Friday as Pappas won with a five-hitter.

In a game for the top spot, Princeton and Shelby Ballengar won at Lovejoy, 4-1, on Friday. Lovejoy pitcher Jordan Stafford held Princeton to six hits.
Jordan Strickland and Presley Stanley doubled for Princeton. Stanley also tripled.
Melissa Schreck doubled for Lovejoy.
On Tuesday, Princeton won at Quinlan Ford, 12-1, on a three-hitter by Ballengar on Tuesday. Janine Godwin doubled twice and Jessica Rodriguez had one for Princeton, which had 13 hits. Princeton's Jamie Sullivan and Chanin Naudin tripled.
Lovejoy won at Farmersville, 5-0, as Schreck tossed a two-hitter, doubled and tripled. Beth Johnson also tripled. Rachel Harrison pitched for Farmersville.
