EDC director to retire

The Colony Economic Development Director Tom Terrell has announced his retirement, effective Oct. 1.
“Tom has been instrumental in bringing businesses and developments to The Colony during his 9-year tenure,” City Manager Dale Cheatham said today. “Additionally, he has worked closely with the EDC board along with myself and other staff members on agreements to allow the EDC to pay for more than $1.6 million in infrastructure improvements for Austin Ranch and for more than $600,000 in annual debt service costs for other capital projects.”
The Colony City Council will meet with the EDC board at 6:30 p.m. Monday to define the parameters for finding a new EDC director.
