Trick or Treat on the Square
The Main Street Program invites everyone to come to the square for Halloween from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 31. There will be face painting, a surprise activity for children sponsored by the Chambersville Tree Farm, scary music and a costume parade around the square at 5 p.m. Businesses not located on the square are invited to come and park around the downtown square and hand out candy. Decorate the trunk of your car or back of your truck and wear a funny costume, meet some wonderful people, support your community and advertise your business.
Celina Methodist Church Turkey Dinner
Veterans' Day luncheon
All Celina veterans, widows and widowers of veterans are invited to come and bring a guest at 11 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the First Baptist Church of Celina for a Veteran's Day luncheon. Carol Hardaway, Brookshire's and other citizens of Celina are sponsoring the event. A special memorabilia table will be set up if participants wish to bring pictures, uniforms, or artifacts. Bobcat Bazaar and Holiday Market
Celina's first annual Bobcat Bazaar and Holiday Market will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Nov. 14 at the old Celina Junior High gym at 706 E. Pecan. Artisans and vendors will offer gifts in all price ranges. Area school fans will find products to show their team spirit. A concession stand will serve food and drinks. Admission is free. PTA Fall Festival
The Primary PTA will host a Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 31 at the Celina Middle School. There will be games, prizes, tattoos, candy and a cake walk. Concession stand will be open. Come in costume. Tickets will be sold at the door or in advance at the elementary and intermediate car lines.
Booth space available for Christmas in Celina
Celina Main Street is hosting Christmas in Celina from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Dec. 5. Booth space is available for $40 and $50. Food vendors must obtain a temporary food permit from the city of Celina for $25. For information call Carie Frazier at 972-382-3617. Donations needed for Thanksgiving baskets
The Celina Christian Men's Fellowship is seeking donations for the Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets they give away every year. Check donations can be mailed to the Celina Christian Men's Fellowship, P.O. Box 779, Celina 75009. For information to sign up to receive a basket or to make food donations or to volunteer to help assemble the baskets call 972-382-3404.
