Avalon Consulting, LLC in SMU's Dallas 100
McKinney Courier-Gazette and Frisco Enterprise
McKinney company recognized for second consecutive year
Avalon Consulting, LLC, a McKinney-based leader in the delivery of Enterprise Web Presence solutions, has been honored for the second consecutive year by SMU Cox Business School's annual Dallas 100 Awards, which identifies the area's 100 fastest growing privately-held companies. Avalon placed #77 on this year's list, staying consistent with its placement in 2008. The ranking is one of several local and national recognitions Avalon has received this year, including placing 8th on the Comerica Collin 60 list and 818th on the Inc. 5000.
In addition to growing its base of projects with Fortune 500 clients, Avalon has demonstrated business flexibility to facilitate significant projects for emerging organizations, including:
Guiding University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Executive Development in launching UNC Business Essentials Certificate Program (http://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/businessessentials/).
Leading the implementation effort for Patheos.com (www.patheos.com), which is emerging as the premier online destination to engage in global dialogue about religion and spirituality and to explore and experience the world's beliefs. Avalon provided senior technical leadership, development, quality assurance and testing and user interface services for this innovative cloud computing-based implementation.
Transforming The Stelter Company's (www.stelter.com) corporate website through a rebuilt infrastructure and new design, enabling Stelter to better support its 1200-plus client-branded planned giving sites. Avalon also facilitated the implementation of state-of-the-art Social Search technology to provide best-estimate recommendations to site visitors to help drive traffic to each client's planned giving content.
Providing Children's Choice (www.childrenschoice.com) with world-class management reporting through the use of cost-effective SaaS-based Business Intelligence, resulting in improved business performance for the child learning centers.
In the case of the Kenan-Flagler Executive Development and Patheos.com projects, Avalon accepted a shared business risk model with portions of its compensation tied to achievement of specific business performance milestones by the organizations.
"Avalon has been an invaluable asset in ensuring the success of Patheos," said Leo Brunnick, CEO and Founder of Patheos. "As a startup it was critical that we hit the ground running when we launched the website. Avalon provided expert technical knowledge and leadership around cloud computing that has really helped to make that possible and their ongoing support is a testament to their true interest in our continued success."
Official rankings for the Dallas 100 were announced on November 4th during a reception and ceremony at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
