Coppell police seeking voyeur
By Jim Kilpatrick, jkilpatrick@acnpapers.com
Since mid-October, the Coppell Police Department has received four calls from residents in the Whispering Hills area concerning a possible male voyeur coming on their property and staring at occupants through windows.
There are a number of similarities in the reports. The suspect has been described as a Caucasian male, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds.
This individual is normally clothed in jogging or running attire and flees the scene on foot when discovered.
The incidents have occurred between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. and have not included any reported attempt to make contact with someone in the home or anyone around the property.
“Please do not make any attempt to stop, question or pursue someone matching this description or someone you believe could be involved with these incidents,” said detective Steve Hayes of the Coppell Police Department. “Contact the police department with any pertinent information you may have as quickly as possible.”
The police department feels that others in the community may have seen something but have not reported it to the police.
“We understand there is a possibility that other citizens have witnessed similar occurrences but have not reported them to the police,” said detective Steve Hayes. “If you or someone you know has been a witness to these unreported events, please call 972-304-3604.
