Anna Eadie's voice soared through the air, carrying with it her hopes of winning the "Frisco's Got Talent!" search hosted by Frisco Chamber of Commerce. Eadie joined about a dozen people in the first audition held Dec. 4 at School of Rock, corner Main and Fourth streets.

A second audition is scheduled for Friday. People can sign up until 5 p.m. Thursday. Participants do need to be members of the chamber to participate and individual memberships are available for $50. Details can be found at www.friscochamber.com.

"The auditions are being videotaped and will be available for viewing and voting on the Web site," said John Holmes, director of communications and marketing for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce. "The public will do all of the voting online for two to three weeks. The five finalists will perform at the Chamber's annual dinner in January."

Eadie said she's always sung and written songs. A mother of two, the Frisco mom said she'd like to see the talent search help her turn her talents into a money-making proposition.

Among those joining Eadie on the Dec. 4 schedule were Bob Clark, an insurance agent who proved he can really tickle the ivories on his electronic keyboard, and Cassie Preston, a songstress who did more than justice to Martina McBride's "Broken Wing."

"I'm so happy to be a part of this," Preston said. "It's a great opportunity and I'm so glad the Chamber is doing this for the community."

And the talent of those auditioning wowed those watching.

After Eadie riffed on a single note for more than a half-minute, School of Rock executive Dean Tarpley said, "Wow, that woman can blow!"
