New music school breaks ground Tuesday

The Music Institute of North Texas is scheduling a groundbreaking event at 1 p.m. Tuesday. MINT’s new facility will be located at 4747 Ohio Drive at Lebanon Road in Frisco.
The music school is scheduled to be open for business in June 2010, according to a statement issued by the principals.
The new 4,550 sq. ft., single-story music school building boasts a stone and brick façade and a standing seam metal roof. It is a ground-up development by Craig Hughes, HUGHES COMMERCIAL Real Estate and Development, LLC. Ashley Pope brokered the original transaction.Chris Graves and Duane Clocker with ICI Construction is the general contractor.
Debbie Fulwiler and Mike Smith with Elements of Architecture designed the state of the art music studio, and Don Rankin with DR Rankin is the civil engineer on the project.
