Rodeo ’round corner

Navy Seaman Scott W. Blubaugh, son of Elaine Edwards of Lewisville and Mark Blubaugh of Frisco, is assigned to Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), which is in port at San Diego and recently received the Battle Efficiency Ribbon or Battle "E" award, given to the most battle-ready carrier in the Pacific fleet.
Blubaugh is a 2005 graduate of Lewisville High School and joined the Navy in May 2008.
Frisco courts training
Frisco’s Municipal Court will be closed for judicial and clerk training Tuesday and Wednesday. The court will be open regular business hours at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Any filings or payments due to the court Tuesday or Wednesday will be received as “on time” on or before Thursday.
Payments and paperwork may be mailed to the Frisco Municipal Court at 6865 Main St., Frisco, TX 75034. The U.S. Postal Service postmark serves as the submission date.
Payments may also be made on the court’s Web site at https://secure.udsinc.com/odp/ocip/friscotx/. To make a payment by phone, dial 972-292-5570 or 972-292-5571.
Boy Scouts meet Lions
Denis Luellen, District Director Boy Scouts, will speak at the regular meeting Wednesday of the Noon Lions Club at Randy's Steak House on Main Street. The Boy Scouts organization celebrates 100 years in 2010.

City Council meets Thursday
The second March meeting of the Frisco City Council will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at City Hall. The change was made to accommodate council members being out of town for meetings.
Cotillion preparations
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Chi Zeta Omega chapter, will host its annual Pearls and Ivy Debutante Cotillion and Ball presenting 17 lovely seniors from area high schools at Richardson's Renaissance Hotel at 7 p.m. May 15. Attire is Black Tie and the public is welcome.
