Save the Date: School Board information was reported week early

I screwed up.
Last week I published a story about the approved board items at the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD school board meeting that took place Aug. 26. That same night I was covering the football game between Keller Central High School and Newman Smith High School.
I was told that all items were approved from the agenda by my source in the school district, and they were. However, when writing the story, I made a mistake and reported on the wrong agenda. On Aug. 26 I reported on information about the Sept. 2 school board meeting that had not taken place yet. I reported on information a week in advance, and for that I apologize to all.
I hope this does not affect your readership with the Carrollton Leader or any of the papers under the Star Community Newspapers banner. I hope you continue to read the Carrollton Leader for all of your school board stories, as well as other stories throughout the community. I will do better.
