Stadium lights under repair

From staff reports
Based on engineering recommendations, Lewisville ISD has delayed the opening of Tommy Briggs Stadium at The Colony High School in order to make adjustments to one of the 70-foot light poles such that it can withstand winds up to 90 mph.
According to a statement from LISD, the recommendation stemmed from a manufacturer’s notice dated July 6, and was presented to the district on Aug. 13. LISD subsequently scheduled the vendor to come out and begin the work. The district’s light-pole vendor was on the field this week making the repairs.
Last Friday’s scrimmage against Sachse was moved to Hebron High School, as well as this Friday’s season opener against Sherman.
