Celina city council member loses battle with illness

Celina City Council member Brad Glendening passed away Saturday morning after undergoing surgery for spinal problems.
Glendening and his wife Donna moved to Celina in February 2005. He retired as EVP/general counsel for Mary Kay cosmetics in 2003 after over 24 years of service.
He was elected to the city council in February 2006. During his time on council he also served as mayor pro tem. He also served on the Celina Building and Standards Commission. He has also been involved as volunteer coordinator for Habitat for Humanity for a house built in Celina. He played Santa Claus during Holidays in Celina, something he said was a career highlight.
