Office Max donates room full of supplies to Malvern teacher

By Andrew Snyder, asnyder@acnpapers.com
Office Max of McKinney remade the classroom of Malvern Elementary teacher Cherylyn Witsell with a donation that included everything from a digital carmera to a chair to a box full of school supplies. Store manager Bruce Eggbert presented the items on Tuesday along with Malvern Principal Sandra Barber, who helped select Witsell as the deserving teacher.
The gift was part of the company's A Day Made Better program begun in 2007 that on one day a year awards more than 1,100 teachers nationwide with over $1,200 in supplies to offset the money they pull from their own pocket to provide for students. Earlier in the year, Office Max donated a number of back to school supplies to Malvern and the business continues to give to the school year round.

" congratulations, teachers are the best. Now if they could just get Malvern's rating up to recognized that would be even better! "
