Volleyball: Lady M’s in sole possession of first

Marcus’ volleyball team took over sole possession of first in District 8-5A Friday night as the Lady Marauders defeated Plano Senior (22-25, 25-14, 25-11, 25-11).
The win, couples with Plano West’s defeat of Allen (22-25, 25-20, 25-18, 19-25, 17-15) puts Marcus in front at 10-1 while Hebron and Allen trail by one match. West, meanwhile, is in fourth but has a comfortable five-game lead over fifth-place Plano.
In other 8-5A action, Flower Mound topped Lewisville (25-7, 25-15, 25-14).
