Volleyball: Lady M’s earn second consecutive appearance in regional quarterfinals

Marcus’ volleyball team kept rolling in the Class 5A playoffs Friday as the Lady Marauders got past Mansfield (25-17, 22-25, 25-12, 25-18) in an area round match at Colleyville Heritage.
Lauren Douglass powered the Marcus attack with a team-high 14 kills, while Katie Neisler had 11 kills and Lindsay Sales led the way with 15 digs. Neisler added six of Marcus’ 12 block-kills.
With the win, Marcus advances to the regional quarterfinals where they will face the winner of Grapevine against Southlake Carroll, which plays at 2 p.m. today at Byron Nelson High School.
