Doctors Express opens second Metroplex location

Doctors Express celebrated their grand opening in Southlake on April 2, becoming just the second Doctors Express center in the Metroplex, the other being off of Royal Lane in Dallas.
Doctors Express is an urgent care medical facility equipped to provide treatment for acute illnesses, trauma, sports injuries and minor surgical cuts.
According to doctorsexpresssouthlake.com, “Doctors Express treats everything from cuts and bruises to fractures and colds, and everything in between. We have on-site lab tests, x-rays and prescriptions with no appointments needed. We're a state-of-the-art urgent care center with physicians on-site every day.”
“I think it’s a great adjunct to the primary care providers in the area,” Whaley said. “Doctors Express is really useful in increasing access to care for folks who can’t get in to their primary care doctors or folks that need a very specific test or procedure, something that they need in a relatively short time.”
Whaley said Southlake’s family-oriented atmosphere makes it a great match for the care Doctors Express offers.
“We can care for kids to senior citizens,” he said. “Southlake being a really family-oriented community, we certainly can help take care of anybody in the family that’s ill and would like to stay close to home. There’s not another similar practice in Southlake.”
Whaley said Doctors Express Southlake is a prime example of a business trying to provide convenient, efficient and affordable health care to local residents.
“A patient sometimes comes in with a defined illness or a specific complaint and we’re able to address that complaint or problem here in the office and then they leave with resolution,” he said. “We are skilled clinicians to care for cuts, broken bones, common cold and pneumonia, we’re happy see you for whatever you need.”
Walk-ins are welcome during normal business hours and Doctors Express accepts most insurance providers. Doctors Express is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
