FLOWER MOUND, Texas --- Flower Mound High School Theatre closes its 2011-12 season May 3-4 with the Dramatic Paw ‘Prents production of the comedy The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza, a rollicking look at familiar tales from Greek mythology.
Performances are scheduled Thursday and Friday, May 3-4, at 7:00 p.m. at the Jack and Donna Clark Auditorium at Flower Mound High School (3411 Peters Colony, Flower Mound). Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students, and will be available in advance May 2, 3 and 4 at the FMHS lobby during lunch hours (11:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.). Tickets may also be purchased at the door one hour before curtain time each night.
The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza is told by two bickering narrators, portrayed by juniors Ariana DeFreitas and Andrew Norton, who attempt to cover the entirety of Greek mythology. Famous myths such as Hercules, Pandora’s Box and Jason and the Argonauts share the stage with obscure stories of Linus and the legend of Argus. The performance culminates in a lively musical dance-influenced version of The Iliad complete with a full-scale battle of little green army men.
The FMHS Dramatic Paw ‘Prents are joined by sophomore stage manager Sydney Gustafson and the FMHS Technical Paws in presentation of The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza. Written by Don Zolidis the performances are produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.
