Swimming and track and field: Local competitors earn medals at Games of Texas

A long summer of swimming and running came to a close this weekend in Waco for many club teams as the state's best gathered for the 26th annual Games of Texas.

More than 7,000 competitors advanced to the Games of Texas by placing in the top five in their events at their respective TAAF regional qualifiers.

Waco was hosting the games for the seventh time and many swimmers and track and field competitors found success, including multiple gold-medal winners.
