UNT accepting applications for 2012 Entrepreneur Boot Camp
From staff reports
Creating a business plan can cost thousands of dollars, but participants of the University of North Texas 2012 Entrepreneur Boot Camp hosted by the Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship will only pay a fraction of that to get their business off the ground.
The boot camp is geared toward anyone with an interest in opening a business. Participants will work with UNT graduate business students to build business plans, and will have the opportunity to present plans to potential investors and business professionals.
The program takes place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays from June 7 through July 5, and wraps up with a Saturday meeting from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 14. The program costs $250 for UNT students, and $600 for UNT faculty and others in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Applications are available at http://www.murphycenter.unt.edu/outreach/bootcamp.php.
The Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship, housed in UNT's College of Business, provides resources to the UNT campus and the North Texas community. The center opened its doors in 2000 with a $1 million donation from Ken and the late Shirley Murphy, founders and owners of The Mail Box. The center encourages entrepreneurship by providing students with counseling, mentoring and training opportunities that help them turn ideas into viable business entities.
