ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL TALLENETTES PRESENT

Allen, Texas (April 25, 2012) -- The Allen High School Tallenettes present the Annual Spring Showcase May 18 and 19 in the brand new AHS Performing Arts Center. The 2012 Spring Showcase will feature more than 70 dancers performing traditional drill team numbers, as well as professionally choreographed dances with elaborate costumes and set designs, and farewell solos performed by graduating seniors. Under the direction of Lisa Smentek, this is a show that promises two hours of Broadway-style entertainment for all ages.
�We are very excited to have the opportunity to entertain our community in our new state-of �the-art Performing Arts Center,� Smentek said. �Hundreds of hours have been devoted to making our 2012 Spring Showcase an unforgettable experience. These dancers have incredible talent and make me very proud each year. I have seen many of my graduating seniors go on to dance with such great companies as Kilgore College Rangerettes, Texas Tech pom Squad, Screen Actors Guild, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders , and Dallas Summer Musicals.�
Tickets for the Tallenette Spring Showcase will go on sale May 1 for $10 each and may be purchased online at www.allenisd.org/finearts/PAC . Tickets may also be purchased at the Allen High School box office prior to each show. Shows are Friday, May 18 at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 19 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The box office will open at 6 for ticket purchases and doors open at 6:30 for 7 p.m. shows and 12:30 for the 1 p.m. show.
The Allen High School Tallenettes 2012/13 team includes 78 members and is part of the AHS Escadrille which includes 800 members and is arguably the largest high school organization of its kind in the nation.
