Leslie B. Turley, Jr., was granted his angel's wings on Saturday, May 5th, 2012, with his family by his side.
Les was born on January 11, 1947 in Ft. Worth, TX. to parents Leslie and Pat Turley.He lived in Princeton, TX for 22 years, where he worked for Collin County Road and Bridge for 11 years as a heavy equipment operator.
He was an active member of the Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason. His many interests include family and friends, auto mechanics, auto restoration, auto racing, riding motorcycles and coaching baseball.
Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jan; sister, Patsy Turley Bayless of Garland; sons, Robert Turley (Kelly) of Arlington, Noel Nixon (Teresa) of Leonard, Brent Nixon (Shelley) of Garland; daughter, Shelley Turley Thorn (John) of Dalhart; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Leslie is preceded in death by parents, Leslie and Pat Turley; sisters, Barbara Turley Cassiddy, Myrna Joyce Turley Shaw; and brother-in-law Albert Bayless.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home in McKinney, TX.
