Gun range opening in Lewisville

Eagle Gun Range kicks-off construction on its facility, located at 501 W. Valley Ridge Blvd. with a celebratory hammer party at 1 p.m. Friday. The approximately 17,000 square-foot building is one mile north of Lewisville City Hall is located off Interstate 35E.
The construction kick-off celebration will be attended by city officials, NRA members and project supporters, the public is invited. Denton County Commissioner and long-time supporter of the law enforcement community, Hugh Coleman will deliver the first official hammer slam to kick-off construction activity of the Eagle Gun Range.
The facility will include a range with twenty-four, 25-yard bays and boasts a digitally controlled target retrieval system and sophisticated purging filtered ventilation system providing quality air for users while exceeding NIOSH, NRA, and OSHA air quality standards. Two high-tech classrooms will provide space for hosted events and training, the facility will also include a comprehensive retail shop that will offer firearm rentals and sales.
Eagle Gun Range is affordable and will serve the entire community; from families and youth organizations to corporations, with events like birthday parties, boy and girl scouting events, and team-building opportunities. "Selecting the right location to present our range and training facility made picking Lewisville an easy decision," said owner Nanci Prince. Her husband and business partner, David Prince said, "North Texas has a need for a quality gun range and training facility and the city of Lewisville has been very welcoming to us."
Eagle Gun Range is offering introductory discounted memberships through its website, www.eaglegunrangetx.com, anyone who joins prior to the August grand opening will qualify as a founding member.
