The McKinney Boyd baseball team put a bow on the 2012 season by watching four of its senior players seal a trip to the next level. Evan Williams (Oklahoma State University), Garrett Wallace (McLennan Community College), Wesley Beeland (Brookhaven College) and Samuel Stampley (Northwestern University) finalized their time with the Broncos by signing National Letters of Intent in a ceremony held last Wednesday.

“The thing with these four guys, is they're disciplined above anyone that's going to be on those teams,” said Brandon Milam, former Boyd head coach. “Their parents have raised them right. They know right from wrong and that makes a lot of difference to kids when they go to college as freshmen. They exude character. They're not somebody that you're going to have to worry about getting in trouble when nobody is watching. They're not going to have to worry about being academically suspended. They understand that they've been given an opportunity, and they're not going to want to fail because of themselves and because of the sacrifices that their parents have made as well.”
