LHS speech team members place at competition

This semester, Lewisville High School (LHS) senior Haddy Badjie and sophomore Hiral Desai were two of four regional finalists in the North Texas Council of the National Management Leadership Speech Competition. No other Texas school has accomplished this landmark. Badjie and Desai placed first and fourth.
The final state speech contest of the year recently took place in Houston. LHS students Snowy Trowbridge and Myles Alexander represented the north Texas region. Trowbridge won third in the Drug Awareness category and Alexander won a $1,000 scholarship when he placed second in the Diabetes Awareness category. The Texas Lions Club sponsored the competition.
