Janice Grant Valentine was born in Akron, Ohio, on April 23, 1926, to Francis and Alyce Jordan.

Janice was a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent High School in New York, where she competed successfully in tennis on a state level. She also enjoyed field hockey and equestrian riding.

She married Major George Raynes Grant, a graduate of West Point Military Academy, on December 12, 1942, prior to his entering World War II. George and Janice were blessed with four daughters and lived in Westchester County, New York, until George's retirement.

In 1972 they made Boca Raton Florida their new home. They traveled the world together until George's passing in 1986.

Eight years later, Janice remarried to Charles C. Valentine in Boca Raton, which was a blessed event for all the families. After Charlie's passing in March 2005, Janice and her two girls fulfilled a lifelong dream traveling to South Africa on safari.

In 2010 Janice moved to Plano, Texas, to enjoy the love of her family and her new great-grandchild, Blake Thomas Wolfe.

Janice is survived by her three daughters, Barbara, Catherine, and Christine, and her six stepchildren, Anne Marie, Charles, Joseph, Joan, Patrick and Mary, and numerous grandchildren, too many to count!
