SMITH
Charles H. "Chuck" Smith, 59, passed away on October 5, 2012, at his home in Gilmer, Texas.
Chuck graduated from Allen High School in 1971. He was voted Mr. AHS his junior year and voted Most Handsome his senior year.
Chuck worked as a carpenter his entire adult life.
Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Brooks Smith; father, John D. Smith; and brother, Rick Smith.
He is survived by his brother, Ronny Smith and his wife, Cathy, of Parker, Texas; sister, Phyllis Morris and her husband, Larry, of Eustace, Texas; sister, Beverly Dill and her husband, Larry, of Garland, Texas; aunt, Lynda Caplinger of Allen, Texas; uncle, H.C. Brooks of Tom Bean, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Mineola, Texas, at Beaty's Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Allen Community Outreach.
