Flower Mound's Whelchel says she has West Nile virus

Flower Mound actress Lisa Whelchel, one of the finalists in this season's "Survivor: Philippines," announced Tuesday on her Twitter account that she has West Nile virus.
The tweet stated, "Dr. just called with blood test results...I have West Nile. Ugh. I'm fine, just tired. Takes a year to recover."
There is no word on where she got the virus.
Best known as Blair Warner on the 1980s NBC sitcom "The Facts of Life," Whelchel has since written numerous books and toured as an inspirational speaker on faith and motherhood.
Whelchel just completed her role on Survivor. This season features 18 castaways in The Philippines where contestants will endure marine-based challenges while competing on one of three tribes.
Survivor airs at 7 p.m. Wednesday on CBS.
