Frisco senior running back Ben Cole
The Raccoons entered Friday night’s game against Prosper with a chance at a tie for the District 9-4A title.
Senior running back Ben Cole did everything to ensure his team had a shot at the championship, running for 186 yards and one touchdown on 22 carries.
Cole’s 10-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter set the tone for the entire game and allowed the Raccoons to come away with a 21-7 victory to move ahead of Prosper in the standings while finishing the season with an identical district mark as Centennial.
Cole’s performance also put Frisco into a first-round playoff matchup against Highland Park at 7:30 p.m. tonight from the University of North Texas.
