On Nov. 30, Frisco Police officers responded to a robbery at 8568 Warren Drive. Upon arrival, officers determined that a female victim had been robbed at gunpoint in her garage. The victim was unloading groceries at the time of the incident.
The victim told police she heard a male voice demanding her purse. The suspect then took the woman's purse and ran from the scene, after which the woman closed the garage door and immediately called 911. The victim was able to provide officers with a detailed description of both the suspect and his gun.
Frisco police officers were able to set up a perimeter from the information and description provided by the victim. The suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Dallas Fisher, was captured in a field north of the location where the incident occurred. The victim's purse was found at the same location as well as the weapon that's believed to have been used. Fisher was charged with aggravated robbery and transported to the Frisco jail.
Our victim remained calm during this incident which allowed her to make good mental notes about the suspect's description, said interim Police Chief John Bruce. This was critical to allow patrol offices to quickly locate and apprehend him.
The Frisco Police Department can be reached by dialing 972-292-6010 for non-emergencies and 911 for emergencies.
