11-5A GIRLS SOCCER: Sachse blanks Raiders to remain near top of standings

The top of the girls standings is a crowded place to be.
Entering Tuesday's play, Rowlett and Garland were tied for first with 5-1 records, followed by Sachse and Naaman Forest at 4-2.
The Mustangs took care of business, getting goals from Megan Holland, Kayla McKeon and Sabrina Nguyen in a 3-0 shutout of North Garland.
Sachse had been coming off a 2-1 loss to Naaman Forest last Friday.
Rowlett, who was idle on Tuesday, finished the first half of the 11-5A season with a 5-0 win over Lakeview, getting two goals each from Bri Arnold and Haley Rodriguez and another from Taylor Magnus.
The Eagles have a huge week ahead of them. They play Garland on Friday at 8 p.m. at Williams Stadium and then turn around to take on Sachse on Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Homer B. Johnson Stadium.
Prior to the big clash with Rowlett on Tuesday, the Mustangs will take on Lakeview on Friday at 4 p.m. at Williams Stadium.
