Rockwall EDC appoints Kevin Fowler as chairman of board

The Rockwall Economic Development Corporation appointed local businessman Kevin Fowler as chairman to the board of directors. Fowler's position on the Rockwall EDC board began on Jan. 1 and will continue until the end of the year.
He is currently senior vice president of commercial lending for the City Bank Texas in Rockwall.
"Kevin has been a part of the Rockwall EDC board for five years, and I can't think of a better chairman at this important time for the city," said Rockwall EDC President and CEO Sheri Franza. "He is a talented business leader who will lead our growing business community in Rockwall. Kevin's knowledge in commerce and in developing new business will help Rockwall lead the way for North Texas."
In additional to his 26-year banking career, Fowler is an active member of the Rockwall community where he has served on boards for the Rockwall YMCA, Rockwall Youth Fair, Rockwall Music Fest and Rockwall Rotary Club. He previously served as the vice president to the board of directors of the Rockwall EDC in 2012.
"It is an honor to serve on the Rockwall EDC board where I can help Rockwall develop into the epicenter of business development," Fowler said. "I look forward to working with other passionate business leaders in helping Rockwall grow."
Fowler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Louisiana State University. He also attended the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business in 2005.
