Cookout to benefit Flower Mound police officer

Friday, the Flower Mound Police Officers Association will host an afternoon cookout fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Flower Mound Police Department parking lot, 4150 Kirkpatrick Lane for FMPD Officer Ronnie Medeiros.
Medeiros suffered a mild heart attack two years ago and two weeks ago, suffered a stroke that resulted in him being placed on the heart transplant list. Medeiros has not been able to return to work.
The Texas Municipal Police Association and the Flower Mound Citizen Patrol Association will also assist with the fundraiser. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served for $5 a plate, with all proceeds going to cover Medeiros’ expenses associated with his medical condition (not medical costs). Medeiros is planning to attend the event along with his family. This event is open to anyone who would like to come out and support him.
