Body found in drainage ditch

Carrollton police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a drainage ditch in the 1800 block of North I-35E Monday afternoon.


Jon Stovall, Carrollton police public information officer, said a passerby found the body about 2:48 .p.m.

Te body was taken to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office and the investigation is ongoing, Stovall said.

“We are investigating to determine if the person may have been struck by a vehicle sometime prior to being found,” Stovall said. He said the body had not been identified and said the police department had received no missing person reports that might lead to his identity.
