It would be an overstatement to call Sunnyvale's season a "revenge tour."

Plano East alum Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal isn't quite trading in his four-ounce mixed martial arts gloves for a steel chair.

After defeating Lubbock Coronado, 9-0, in the opening game of the regional semifinals, Plano East softball head coach Karen Kalhoefer challenged her team to forget that victory and come out hungry in Game 2.

In theory, Plano East sophomore Haley Wisdom shouldn't be a starter.

MANSFIELD -- In the Ennis-Frisco Wakeland softball Regional Semi-Final series, lighting struck twice.

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Wakeland found itself in a tight situation after dropping Thursday night's Game 1 against Highland Park in the regional quarterfinals best-of-3 series.

COPPELL -- The L.D. Bell baseball team won't be making friends in Plano ISD anytime soon.

MANSFIELD -- After a 3-2 victory in Game 1 of the regional semifinals against Ennis on Thursday, the Lady Wolverines had a chance to close out the top-ranked Lady Lions Friday night from Mansfield Legacy.

COLLEYVILLE -- Lady Panther field at Colleyville Heritage High School had just about 40 spectators taking in the action Friday night. They weren't there to see a softball game, however.

Frisco Centennial threw everything it had at Rockwall-Heath, but it couldn't stop the Hawks from advancing to the regional semifinals for the fourth consecutive year.

The regional semifinal round is supposed to represent a struggle between two of the top 16 teams remaining in the state.

This year's Class 3A State Track Meet was an unusual one for Lovejoy.

FRISCO -- A year ago, the Plano Senior softball team eliminated Hebron in the regional quarterfinals.

PROSPER -- Pilot Point managed just three hits in Friday's one-game regional quarterfinal softball series against Lovejoy, but it was the last of those hits that broke the game open and ended the season of the No. 1 team in the state, 4-1.

CARROLLTON -- Everything went right for the Bobcats during their 6-1 victory in Game 1 of Friday's area-round matchup against Farmersville.

CARROLLTON -- The Plano Senior baseball team was staring uncertainty in the eyes before it even took the field Saturday afternoon against L.D. Bell.
