Now, artificial thunder echoes through the hills as a Bulgarian M1117 Guardian armored security vehicle runs the training course, mowing down targets with fire from its mounted heavy machine gun.
City gears up for Veterans Day activities

Theater treasurer arrested for theft
The Colony police arrested Sheila Gilchrist, 36, of The Colony on Oct. 22 on a felony charge of theft between $1,500 and $20,000. The arrest stems from allegations that Gilchrist, as treasurer of Lakeside Community Theatre, stole $8,371 from the theater’s bank account.

The Colony hangs on to beat Denton High
THE COLONY - Two teams desperate for their first District 5-4A victory met at Tommy Briggs Cougar Stadium on Friday night. It wasn't the prettiest of games but The Colony held on for a 14-10 victory over the Denton Broncos thanks to some stingy red-zone defense and the play of a young sophomore receiver.
